Biography

Augusto Cavallini is an industrial engineer who grew up in Latina and played soccer in the S.S. Lazio youth team.

From 1970 to 1974, Augusto was part of the Corazzieri Regiment, the Carabinieri guard to Presidents Giuseppe Saragat and Giovanni Leone. Following his discharge, Augusto worked for Procter & Gamble and he later joined Banca Nazionale del Lavoro (BNL), where he was assigned to the international division. At BNL, he worked at the branch offices in London, Paris, Madrid and Buenos Aires, where he followed the acquisition of Banco d’Italia y Rio de la Plata from the Macri family. Subsequently, Augusto worked in the BNL branches in Sao Paulo, Caracas, Bogota and New York, finally, he was assigned to the Miami branch as director Private Banking. 

In 1987 Augusto joined Perini S.p.A., an Italian manufacturer of paper products, as Latin America business director. 

Since 1992, Augusto serves as International Vice President of HarperLove Corp., a leading corrugated packaging company, where he oversees the company’s activities in 25 countries. In addition to his native Italian, Augusto is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and French. Over the years he has visited and done business in more than 70 countries. 

Augusto is a Councilor in the Miami COMITES (second term), for which he also served as President, and has been a founding member of the Miami chapter of the Associazione Nazionale Carabinieri.
